VTS Marine operates a 200ft by 40ft floating dock near the Surrey port, built to haul out tugboats, workboats, barges, and other commercial vessels for bottom paint, sandblasting, and hull work, or to serve as a dockside work platform when a vessel doesn’t need a full haul-out. Bottom Paint & Antifouling

Our team applies commercial-grade antifouling and bottom paint systems suited to steel, aluminum, and fiberglass commercial hulls, helping reduce drag, protect against marine growth, and extend the life of the hull between haul-outs.

Before a hull can be repainted, repaired, or welded, old paint, rust, and corrosion need to come off down to bare metal. We sandblast commercial hulls to prepare surfaces for recoating or structural work, giving welders and painters a clean surface that holds up under BC’s working conditions. This work pairs closely with our commercial tug and vessel repair services for operators who need hull, engine, and structural work handled together.
